BNI Clerkenwell has now moved to its new home at the Three Crowns – in Shoreditch, just off Old Street roundabout and in the heart of the newly styled” Tech City”.

A deciding factor in settling on the venue for the BNI-ers was, however, the excellent breakfast offered by the establishment and the management have been very helpful in making sure our meetings run smoothly from 6.30am.

I was meeting one of Midas Corporate Consulting’s long-standing clients to discuss an on-going piece of work. The referral originally came from another BNI member and as we were meeting locally, I decided to try the Three Crowns for lunch as well.

Firstly, the managers were delighted and somewhat surprised, that I was also still up and raring to go at lunchtime but also that I was coming back for more!

Secondly, the lunch menu was delicious, very good quality and I thought great value. I went for a “healthy” option of two starters and dessert comprising a homemade terrine and cold and creamy borsht soup. Delicious on a hot summer’s day and the place was naturally cool whist it was a modest 34 degrees outside. My guest, who has no need to diet, went for a Goats cheese on toast followed by a substantial portion of bread and butter pudding! Total cost £33 ‘all in’ with complimentary sparkling or still filtered water.

The service from the staff was very attentive and I would certainly recommend going more often, including in the evening, to sample the excellent beers on tap and the wines on offer.
